Excavations continued in-search of remains at the mass grave in Thiruketheeswaram in Mannar on Monday.
Our correspondent said that new remains were not unearthed Monday. Our bureau correspondent said that excavations were held with the use of Bakhoe machines.
Police Media Spokesperson SSP Ajith Rohana said that thirty nine human remains were discovered following excavations that were held on nine occasions.
Human remains were found for the first time when the earth was dug up on December 20in order to lay pipelines in the Thiruketheeswaram area.
