The Chief Incumbent of the Amarapura Sri Dharmarakshita sect Venerable Weligama Sri Gnanarathana Nayaka thero passed away today.

According to a member of the sect Sangha Sabawa Venerable. Dhammawansa thera the body of the late Thera will be placed at the Ratmalana Mallikarramya on Saturday evening .

The late Thera was 101 years old at the time of his demise.
