A UPFA Provincial Councillor of the Galgamuwa Pradeshiya Sabha has been arrested for allegedly excavating for treasure in the Dedigama area in Kegalle.

Police Media Spokesperson, SSP Ajith Rohana said that investigations have been launched to apprehend four more suspects who fled the scene during the raid. The suspect who was arrested,  is due to be produced before the Warakapola Magistrate’s Court.
