MTV/MBC and MAS Holdings put Super Fighters in the ring

The trials for Super Fighter, Sri Lanka’s first Sports Reality show, continued on Tuesday at Bandaranayake College in Gampaha.

Super Fighter, which promises a brand new experience for TV audiences in Sri Lanka is a joint initiative by MTV and MBC Media Networks and MAS Holdings.

The first round of trials for the Super Fighter contest, targeting the Gampaha District, commenced on Monday at Bandaranayake College in Gampaha.

A training camp was held on Tuesday as well for the more than 300 aspiring boxers. Following the training camp, boxers were selected for the second round of Super Fighter under the supervision of the Sri Lanka Amateur Boxing Association and the Sri Lanka Schools Boxing Association.

The contest is being held in four weight classes, 49, 52, 56 and 60 kilogrammes, while the matches are being held in an international standard boxing ring.
