A train delay was reported along the coastal railway line  on Monday morning.

According to the Railway Control Room, the delay is a result of a mechanical issue of the railway line between Colpetty and Bambalapitiya.

However, railway authorities have now stated that trains are back to their usual timetable.

The railway control room says that the malfunction in the railway lines disrupted 10 services.

Our correspondent stated that one potion of the railway lines had sunk.

As a result railway employees took measures to stop trains plying from Kalutara and Negombo to Colpetty.
