Seventeen items of clothing have been identified by the relatives of passengers of the ill-fated Lion Air Flight.
Police Media Spokesperson SSP Ajith Rohana said that the clothing of the passengers onboard the flight that was shot down by an LTTE missile attack and crashed into the sea was recovered from the sea and exhibited for public identification during Saturday and Sunday.
The missile attack was launched on September 28, 1998. The attack killed seven crew members on board the flight including all 48 passengers who were Tamil nationals.
SSP Ajith Rohana pointed out that the deceased included eight children.
