The Holy Relics of Saint Sebastian of Narbonne arrived in Sri Lanka on Sunday morning. A special religious service was held at the Bandaranaike International Airport upon the arrival of the relics from Rome.
The service was conducted under the auspices of his eminence Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith, the Archbishop of Colombo.Devotees were then given the opportunity to pay homage to the relics.
The relics were taken in a procession to the St. Sebastian Shrine in Kandana for the Annual Feast of the St. Sebastian’s Church. The relics will be enshrined at the church in a specially constructed shrine room in honour of the saint from Narbonne.
