A century by Mahela Jayawardene on day 2 of the second test against Pakistan gave Sri Lanka a lead of 153 runs with 6 wickets in hand.

Sri Lanka who resumed their first innings on an overnight score of 57 for the loss of one wicket lost Kumar Sangakkara and Dinesh Chandimal early  in the day.
