President Mahinda Rajapaksa who is on an official tour in the Middle East is due to meet Isreaeli President Shimon Perez for bilateral discussions on Thursday.
Presidential Spokesperson, Mohan Samaranayaka stated that the discussions are due to take place at the presidential palace of the host nation.
President Rajapaksa commenced his tour of Israel on Wednesday with a visit to Jerusalem.
Whilst in Jerusalem, the president met with Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu for bilateral discussions at the Prime Minister’s Office.
The Presidential Spokesman and International Media Unit noted that the discussions focused on matters such as agriculture, information technology, water management and commerce.
