The Department of Examinations says that the 79 schools to be used for GCE Ordinary Level paper marking will be closed until January 8.
Commissioner General of Examinations W.M.N.J. Pushpakumara said that the first stage of Ordinary level paper marking will be conducted from Monday until January 7, noting that facilities have been provided for 103 paper marking centres.
The second stage of paper marking will be conducted from January 16 to 24 at nineteen schools.
The Examinations Commissioner General said that 40,000 teachers will participate in the ordinary level paper marking. He further noted that eleven million answer papers will be marked under these two stages.
