Authorities say 900 Lankans die of oral cancer every year

The National Cancer Institute says that nearly 900 people die every year as a result of oral cancer.

Directress of the institute, Nilmini Paranagama said that about 3 patients die daily, due to this disease.

Paranagama said that chewing tobacco and lime with betel is the main cause of oral cancer in the country.
