General Secretary of the Commonwealth Nations Kamlesh Sharma arrive in the country this afternoon to participate at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.
Police Media Spokesperson SSP Ajith Rohana said that the roads which were temporarily closed to facilitate the movement of the delegate will be opened for the motorists.
The Police Headquarters say that the traffic plan that was scheduled for this morning will not be implemented from now.
The traffic police said that the traffic plan will be implemented again from November 13.
Thereby, the traffic plan will be limited to the Katunayake Colombo Highway, the new Kelani Bridge, Bandaranaike Roundabout, Orugodawatte, Dematagoda, Borella Junction, Baseline Road till the cemetery junction, Baudhaloka Mawatha, Thunmula, Bambalapitiya and Colpetty Junction. And also the Galle road, Galle Face Roundabout, Old Parliament Roundabout, Lotus Road, Bank Road, Ceramic Junction, Regal Junction, Chittampalam A. Gardiner Mawatha and the road close to the Slave Island Police Station.
