Yellow Anaconda Missing from Dehiwala Zoo

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Dehiwala National Zoolo has reported the disappearance of its only yellow anaconda, triggering a formal complaint to the police and a separate internal investigation by the Department of Zoological Gardens.

Speaking to the media, Director General Dr. R.C. Rajapaksha said that information was reported yesterday indicating the snake had gone missing. 

This is the sole yellow anaconda housed at the Dehiwala National Zoo. 

In addition to filing a police complaint, Dr. Rajapaksha stated that the Department of Zoological Gardens has launched a separate investigation into the disappearance.
