STF Finds Phone and SIM Inside High-Security Prison

COLOMBO (News 1st); Authorities have uncovered a stash of prohibited items inside the cell of a detainee at Boossa High-Security Prison. 

The discovery was made during a surprise inspection conducted by officers of the Special Task Force (STF) Boossa camp.

Among the items seized were a mobile phone, a data cable, two phone chargers, and a SIM card, all found hidden inside the cell of Bilal Mohamed, who is being held under the Prevention of Terrorism Act (PTA). 

STF officials confirmed that the contraband was confiscated and an investigation is underway.
