Sri Lanka Declares September as Digital Economy Month

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Ministry of Digital Economy has officially designated September as Digital Economy Month, in line with a directive issued by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, aiming to accelerate Sri Lanka’s transition into a digitally empowered economy.

Speaking on the initiative, Ministry Secretary Varuna Sri Dhanapala stated that the month-long campaign will focus on raising public awareness about the benefits of digital transformation, while also developing national digital economy policies and operational frameworks.
