600 Illegal Cigarettes Seized from Chinese National

COLOMBO (News 1st):A Chinese national has been arrested with a consignment of foreign cigarettes imported into the country without paying the respective fees.

The arrest was made at Rotunda Gardens in Kollupitiya.

Authorities found 600 illegally imported cigarettes in his possession.

The 40-year-old Chinese national is scheduled to be produced before court.
