Macedonian arrested at BIA with cocaine worth Rs. 17 Mn

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Customs seized 350g of cocaine valued at over Rs. 17 Million.
Sudattha Silva, the Customs Spokesperson, told News 1st that the cocaine was discovered concealed in the luggage of a Macedonian man who arrived at the Bandaranaike International Airport from Brazil.
He said that the drugs were concealed inside packets of soup, and the 54-year-old suspect along with the drugs were handed over to the Police Narcotic Bureau for further investigations.
