Rishabh Pant Crash: Cricketer came out of burning car after breaking its window

Star Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant met with an accident on Friday morning (December 30) while returning to Delhi from Uttarakhand. His car hit a divider, and it caught fire after the collision. 

As per reports and several pictures that have surfaced online, he has suffered multiple burn injuries, but his condition is not serious, and the 25-year-old cricketer is out of danger.

Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant came out of his burning car following an accident in Uttarakhand’s Haridwar after breaking its window, a police officer said and added he was out of danger and has been referred to Dehradun for treatment.

He was driving his Mercedes when his car met with an accident on the Narsan border of Roorkee near Hammadpur Jhal.

The accident happened around 5:30 a.m. in the morning, and Pant was driving the car himself at the time of the accident. As per his own admission, Pant felt a bit sleepy when his car hit the divider. The star cricketer broke the windscreen to get out of the car. He suffered multiple injuries on his head and a ligament injury on his right ankle.

Pant was part of India’s playing XI in the recently concluded second Test against Bangladesh in Dhaka on Sunday (December 25). In that game, he top-scored for India in the first innings by making 93 runs from 105 balls. He was not selected for the upcoming white-ball series against Sri Lanka at home.
