Akkaraipattu Court Fire: Three men arrested for arson

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Sri Lanka Police arrested three people for setting fire to the document archives of the Akkaraipattu Court complex.

Police Spokesperson SSP Nihal Thalduwa told News 1st that it can be assumed that the suspects have set fire to the premises on the instructions of another person.

The three suspects will be produced to the Akkaraipattu Court on Thursday (29).

Two of the suspects were arrested while hiding in houses located in the Periya-Nila-Welia area in Akkaraipattu.

The other suspect was arrested from Akkaraipattue.

Sri Lanka Police said that all three suspects have pending cases at the Akkaraipattu Court.
