Thundershowers likely in Western Province tonight (29)

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Uva and Sabaragamuwa provinces, and in Galle, Matara and Nuwara-Eliya districts and showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in Western province and in Kandy district during the afternoon or night, said the Met Department.

Mainly fair weather will prevail elsewhere over the country, it added.

Misty condition can be expected in Sabaragamuwa, Central and Uva provinces and in Galle and Matara districts during the morning.

Condition of Rain: A few showers are likely in the sea areas off the coast extending from Colombo to Matara via Galle.

Winds: Winds will be from north-easterly or variable direction and speed will be (20-30) kmph. 

State of Sea: The sea areas around the island will be slight.
