Plans underway to livestream Finance Committee proceedings

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Plans have been drawn to livestream the  proceedings of the Finance Committee of the Parliament soon.

A spokesperson of the Parliament stated that the Chairman of the Committee, Dr. Harsha De Silva, has informed the Parliamentary Communication Unit to facilitate the livestream.

In the meantime, Parliament Spokesperson stated that necessary steps are being taken to establish three new committees in Parliament, for banking and financial services, methods and procedures, and economic stabilization.

The proposal related to the establishment of the National Assembly consisting of the leaders of all the political parties representing the Parliament is also due to be submitted for the approval of the Parliament next Tuesday (20).
