Cash rewards for tip-offs on underworld weapons

COLOMBO (News 1st) Sri Lankan authorities have decided to award cash rewards for credible information on the weapons held by Criminal Gangsters. These weapons include T-56 Assault Rifles.

The Public Security Minister said that the amount for the cash rewards will be announced in due course.

In addition, law enforcement agencies will meet next Wednesday to discuss new measures that need to be adopted to crack down on organized crimes and criminal enterprises.

The meeting is to be attended by Public Security Minister Tiran Alles, Ministry Secretary S. Hettiarachchi, and all the Senior DIGs.
