Lawyer Nuwan Bopage off to Geneva to brief UNHRC

COLOMBO (News 1st); Attorney-at-Law Nuwan Bopage left for Geneva on Saturday (10) to address the 51st session of the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva.

The Inter-University Students Federation announced that  Bopage has been granted the opportunity to address the 
session due to his connection to the IUSF on legal grounds and his active involvement in the Galle Face 'Aragalaya'

Accordingly, he is due to brief the international community with regard to the repressive acts carried out against the Inter University Students Federation.

The 51st session of the United Nations Human Rights Council will be held from the 12th September to the 7th of October.
