Three fuel ships anchored near Colombo due to non-payment

COLOMBO (News 1st); Report suggests that three fuel tankers are anchored near the Colombo Harbour due to failure to make payments. 

A Crude Oil Tanker with 100,000 MT of Crude Oil remains anchored outside the Colombo Harbour since the 23rd of August.

The Ministry of Power & Energy said two Diesel Tankers are also stationary outside the Colombo Harbour for over two days, and these vessels are carrying a combined 76,000 MT of Diesel.

A source from the Ministry of Power & Energy told News 1st that steps are being taken to make the due payments for these vessels.
