One dead & three injured in Saliyawewa accident

COLOMBO (News 1st); An accident in Saliyawewa, 16th post area has caused for the death of one person and three others to be injured.

Police said that the accident occurred when a private bus and a van collided with each other on Sunday (4) afternoon.

The driver of the van, identified as a 65-year-old resident of Mannar, passed away in the accident.

Another person who was traveling in the van and two people who were in the bus were injured and taken to hospital, Police said.

Further investigations into the accident is underway.
