Pitabeddara drowning: Three bodies recovered

COLOMBO (News 1st); The bodies of three of the 04 youth who went missing while swimming in  Dehigaspa Falls in Pitabeddara were found on Saturday (27).

However, the search operations for the missing youth had to be suspended by Sri Lanka Navy divers from the South,. due to lack of oxygen and kerosene to continue the operation.

The bodies were found after a joint operation was initiated by Navy divers, police and local residents.

The deceased were identified as a 24 year-old resident of Akuressa, a 22-year-old resident of Weligama, Batawala and a 23-year-old resident of Ahangama Daduhela.

The other missing youth was identified as Manushka Yoshan, a 24-year-old resident of Deiyandara, Seenipella.
