1,500 Dengue cases being reported per week

COLOMBO (News 1st); According to the National Dengue Control Unit, the number of dengue cases reported per week has increased to 1500.

Chief Epidemiologist, Dr. Sudath Samaraweera said that the highest number of patients were reported from the Western Province.

Moreover, patients are also being reported from Kandy, Galle, Ratnapura and Kegalle Districts, he mentioned.

Dr. Samaraweera informs the public to remain aware of the symptoms and seek medical advice, due to the high spread of Dengue, COVID-19 and Influenza patients these days.
