10-12% increase in COVID-19 patients: Health Ministry

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Ministry of Health says that COVID-19 patients have increased by 10-12% in comparison with previous numbers.

Director and Medical Technical Services Director of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Anwar Hamdani, informed that the public should follow health guidelines in the face of rising cases.

He has also informed that there needs not to have any undue fear of vaccines.

Meanwhile, five people died due to COVID-19 yesterday (29), the  Government Information Department stated.

Moreover, 143 people infected with COVID-19 were also identified yesterday.
