Another man was arrested with Tear Gas Ammo

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Police arrested a 30-year-old man from Maligawa Road in Ethul Kotte for the possession of one Tear Gas Ammo.

Sri Lanka Police said that on the 13th of July 2022, a group of police officers was transporting tear gas ammo in a three-wheeler belonging to the Public Peace Management Range during the protest that was taking place at the Polduwa Junction.

A statement from Sri Lanka Police said that protestors had stolen several tear gas ammo during the protest.

The suspect was produced to the Hultsdorf Number 4 Magistrate's Court on Thursday (28) and was remanded to the 5th of August.
