Man arrested for posting disruptive content

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Police arrested a 28-year-old man from Galle for posting content online with the intention of creating unrest among the public and disrupting the peace.

The arrest was made based on information provided to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID).

The suspect was produced to the Galle Magistrate's Court on Monday (25) and was remanded to the 8th of August.

Sri Lanka Police said the main suspect who posted the original content, and others associated with the post will be arrested for investigations.
