Work from Home program for Public Sector

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Ministry of Public Administration, Home Affairs, Provincial Councils, and Local Government said that it is preparing a Work From Home program for public sector employees.

Minister Dinesh Gunawardena said that the program is currently being studied and steps will be taken to implement it as soon as possible.

The purpose of the program is to cut down on transport expenses by Public Sector employees.

However, the Minister said that the program does NOT apply to essential services including health, and education.
