21A: Political Parties to meet PM on Friday (3)

COLOMBO (News 1st); A meeting between political parties represented in Parliament and the Prime Minister will be held on Friday (3) at the Prime Minister's office regarding the 21st Amendment to the Constitution.

The Minister of Justice Dr. Wijedasa Rajapaksa said that the amendments brought by the representatives of the political parties represented in the Parliament regarding the draft bill that has been presented will be discussed.

Meanwhile, a discussion on the 21st Amendment Draft Bill will be held on Saturday (4) morning at his Ministry with political parties that are NOT represented in Parliament.

A discussion is scheduled to be held on Friday (21) with Muslim religious leaders including the All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama on the amendment bill.

Meanwhile, a discussion was held on Thursday (2) with the National Freedom Front and other political parties on the 21st Amendment to the Constitution.

The Minister of Justice further said that the 21st Amendment to the Constitution will be presented to the Cabinet for approval next Monday (6).
