Sapugaskanda operations face technical issue on day of resumption

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Minister of Energy, Kanchana Wijesekara says that a minor technical issue has been reported at the Sapugaskanda Oil Refinery, which was due to begin operations today (30).

However, he stated that CPC technical staff working to fix the issue to restart the refinery which has remained non operational for the last 3 months.

Kerosene was specially imported from Siberia for this purpose, which was unloaded during the last two days.
