Three arrested for illegally stockpiling fuel

COLOMBO (News 1st); Three have been arrested for illegally stockpiling fuel have been arrested in Polgahawela and Chunnakam areas.

Police stated that 203 liters of diesel were found in the possession of the suspect arrested in Polgahawela, who was identified as a 55 year old resident of Yatigaloluwa area.

Chunnakam Police have also arrested two suspects in two raids in the area, which was conducted based a tip off.

Accordingly, 1,670 liters of kerosene, 250 liters of diesel and 2,306 liters of petrol were found in their possession.

The arrested suspects are to be produced before the Polgahawela and Mallakam Courts today (29).
