COLOMBO (News 1st); A Sub Inspector of the Police Riot Unit was reported dead after a tear gas gun exploded opposite Temple Trees.

Police Spokesman SSP Nihal Thalduwa stated that the Sub Inspector died after being admitted to the Colombo National Hospital last night (9).

Tear gas was used to disperse the protestors in front of Temple Trees last night and during that time, the tear-gas gun exploded.
