Speaker wants President to summon P'ment

COLOMBO (News 1st); Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena said that he has requested the President to convene Parliament immediately.

The Speaker said that a decision on the current situation in the country and the next steps will be taken at the party leaders' meeting on Wednesday (11).

The Speaker further said that a meeting of the party leaders has been convened at 10 AM on Wednesday (11) and the meeting time may change under the current circumstances.
