Party Leaders to meet on NCM today (9)

COLOMBO (News 1st); A meeting of party leaders representing Parliament is scheduled to be held under the patronage of Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena at the Parliamentary Complex at 10 AM on Monday (9).

The Speaker stated that the no-confidence motions against the government and the President as well as the forthcoming Parliamentary week will be discussed at this meeting.

Meanwhile, a group of 11 parties including the Sri Lanka Freedom Party decided on Sunday (8) to give their full support to the no-confidence motion brought by the Samagi Jana Balavegaya (SJB).

The Tamil National Alliance (TNA) says it has decided to support the no-confidence motion against the president.
