Normal Service for passports resumes today (9)

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Department of Immigration and Emigration noted that the issuance of passports under the normal service will resume from Monday (9).

The Department said in a statement that only applications reserved for obtaining passports under the normal service on May 05, 06, and 09 would be accepted today.

It added that applications of applications who obtained a number of a deal from the department to hand over their applications to obtain passports under the normal service will be accepted on Monday (9).

It is mandatory to make an appointment for the submission of passport applications from May 10, the Department said.

Appointments be booked at www.immigation.gov.lk or by dialing 070 710 1060.

The Department of Immigration and Emigration said that steps will be taken to issue passports under the one-day service soon after repairing the computer system.
