Independent MPs meet Indian High Commissioner

COLOMBO (News 1st); A group of independent parliamentarians met Indian High Commissioner Gopal Bagley on Thursday (28) to discuss the current economic and political situation in the country.

The Indian High Commission said in a tweet that the High Commissioner had noted that India would continue to support Sri Lanka.

The group of parliamentarians also thanked the people of India for standing with Sri Lanka during difficult times.

The meeting was attended by a group of independent members of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party, former Minister Udaya Gammanpila and Tiran Alles.
