Special Security Program for BIMSTEC

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Police announced that a special security arrangement is in place for the BIMSTEC conference which commences in Colombo on Monday (28).

Senior DIG in charge of the Western Province, Deshabandu Tennakoon said that the security arrangements are in place for Foreign Ministers and delegates who are in the country to attend the summit.

Further, a special traffic plan is being implemented, said the Senior DIG in charge of the Western Province Said.

The Conference of the Organization of the Bay of Bengal Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) begins on Monday (28) in Colombo.
