DMT running out of imported cards for Drivers Licenses

COLOMBO (News 1st): An alternative method must be introduced for the issuance of Driver's Licenses, due to the limited availability of the imported cards used to print them, the Department of Motor Traffic Control said on Wednesday (Mar. 9). Plans are in place to introduce an alternative method if the department runs out of imported cards from Austria, the Motor Traffic Department added. Commissioner-General of Motor Traffic, Sumith Alahakoon also confirmed to News 1st that the cards for issuing driving licenses are running out.
