Two injured in Kinniya shooting; NO arrests yet

COLOMBO (News 1st); Police stated that NO arrests have been made with regard to the shooting in Kinniya on Monday (7) night that injured two people.

Police stated that the shooting had taken place at around 7 p.m on Monday (7).

The two injured men were admitted to the Kinniya Hospital and later were transferred to the Trincomalee General Hospital for further treatment.

Two Bullets that are used with a T-56 assault rifle were found at the scene of the shooting.

According to Sri Lanka Police, two men who are involved in sand extration were shot at when traveling in a motorbike.
