Sri Lanka's 1st ever microplastics lab opens today (7)

COLOMBO (News 1st); The State Ministry of Coast Conservation & Low-Lying Lands Development stated that Sri Lanka's first ever Micro Plastic Laboratory will be opened on Monday (7).

This Laboratory is located at Southern Provincial Office of the Marine Enviorenment Protection Authority.

The State-of-the-Laboratary will provide the Marine Enviorenment Protection Authority with the opportunity to study Microplastics in the Marine and Coastal enviorenment.

The laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment required for Seawater Sampling as well as Sediment Sampling.
