COLOMBO (News 1st): Sri Lanka's Minister of Tourism will present facts regarding the extension of the visas issued for tourists from Ukraine at the Cabinet Meeting on Monday (Feb. 28).  The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is already holding discussions in this regard with the Department of Immigration and Emigration, Prasanna Ranatunga, the Minister Tourism said. Whilst pointing out that visas for tourists are issued for a period of at least one month, Minister Ranatunga noted that further steps in this regard will be taken considering the expiration date of visas for Ukrainians currently staying in the country. According to the Tourism Development Authority, nearly 4,000 Ukrainian tourists are currently visiting Sri Lanka, while close to 11,500 Russian tourists are currently present in the country.
