COVID Update for Sunday (27)

COLOMBO (News 1st); Another 24 COVID-19 deaths were reported on Sunday (27) for Saturday (26).

At the same time, the total number of COVID-19 deaths in the country is 16,190.

The number of infected persons identified on Sunday (27) was 977.

The Health Sectors pointed out that people should pay close attention to hygiene during the festive season as it does not show a significant reduction in the number of reported cases.

National Coordinator of COVID-19 Disease Prevention, Specialist, Dr. Anwar Hamdani said that people only travel for essential activities.
