Patient at accident unit stabbed by intruder

COLOMBO (News 1st); A person who had secretly entered the Colombo National Hospital has stabbed a person who was receiving treatment at the accident unit.

Police Media Spokesperson, SSP Nihal Thalduwa stated that the man had fled after the assault, and he has not yet been arrested over the incident.

The man, identified as a 33 year old resident of Ananda Mawatha, Maradana, who was injured in a clash between two persons due to a money dispute was admitted to the accident unit this morning (05).

A spokesman for the National Hospital stated that the same suspect who assaulted him at that time had come to the National Hospital and later stabbed him.
