School van fares to increase by 20%

COLOMBO (News 1st); School van fares will increase by 20% from Monday (03), the All Ceylon Inter Provincial School Children Transport Services Association says.

Speaking to media, the Chairman of the All Ceylon Inter Provincial School Children Transport Services Association, Ruwan Prasad stated that although the association proposed that the Government may grant a diesel relief, no steps were taken by the Government to do so.

Speaking further, the Chairman of the Association stated that although reluctantly, they have to tell parents that an increase in fares on school vans by 20% will be implemented from Monday (03).
