COLOMBO (News 1st); Chinese Organic Fertilizer supplier, Qingdao Seawin Biotech Group Co., Ltd states that Sri Lanka had ignored the test conclusions carried out by four authoritative and professional testing bodies. In a statement seen Exclusively by News 1st, the Chinese supplier noted that according to the bidding documents and the contract, the product quality shall be tested and confirmed by the third-party testing institute designated by Sri Lanka Standards Institute or SLSI before sailing. "SLSI appointed the German testing institute Schutter Group. Schutter audited Seawin production line and took samples from the production line and warehouse respectively. Schutter test reports confirmed that Seawin products had been sterilized at 600 ℃ for more than 20 minutes, and the products did not contain Salmonella and Coliform (Coliform includes Erwinia, which also means Schutter confirmed that the products do not contain Erwinia)," the statement added. It goes not to note that SLSI subsequently tested the samples, and the above conclusion was confirmed. However, the test report of NPQS still claims that Erwinia was found in the product. Qingdao Seawin Biotech Group Co., Ltd further noted that "from the part of the raw material, we can see that seaweed, amino acids, humic acid and clay are used as raw materials for the production of Seawin products, instead of livestock manure commonly used in the production of organic fertilizer in Sri Lanka. It is obvious that there is no source of Erwinia in Seawin raw materials." "From the production process part, Erwinia will die at about 50 ℃, while Seawin products were sterilized at 600 ℃ for 20 minutes. Under this condition, all harmful bacteria will be killed. Therefore, Erwinia cannot be contained," it added. Seawin then sent the same batch of samples to China Customs Testing Center and the internationally renowned Swiss third-party testing institute SGS for retesting. China NPQ also investigated Seawin products according to the IPPC agreement and replied to NPQS by email. They all confirmed that the products do not contain Erwinia, it noted. NPQS not only doesn’t recognize the conclusions of its own pre-designated testing institute according to the contract agreement, but also openly denies the testing conclusions of other three professional authorities. Facing the four authoritative, professional and fair test conclusions, Sri Lanka side still ignored them, what is the real reason for that? questions Qingdao Seawin Biotech Group Co., Ltd.
