Railway TU action to continue due to unresolved issues

COLOMBO (News 1st); The President of the Railway Station Masters' Association Sumedha Somaratne says that they have decided to continue their trade union action due to the unresolved issues.

The Railway Station Masters' Association launched the strike citing several issues, including the lack of freight service trains during the festive season, the failure to rectify the issues in the Railway Signal System and zero positive response from Sri Lanka Railways Administration on the issues faced by Station Masters.

Our Correspondents said passengers across the island travelled free of charge as ticket counters were shut down.
