Jewelry store in Borella robbed by two armed men

COLOMBO (News 1st); A Jewelry store in Borella has been robbed by two armed men at 2:50 p.m. on Saturday (11), Police says.

Furthermore, Police also stated that the gunmen, who traveled on a motorcycle, fired shots into the air.

According to the CCTV footage, the suspects had committed the theft and fled within a short time.

The staff at the shop stated that there were three staff members and four customers at the time, when the robbers came and fired the shots and threatened all persons in the shop to not to move.

The robbers have taken the jewelry on the showcase and have left.

The value of the stolen gold jewelry has not yet been determined.

The Borella Police Station, the Colombo South Divisional Crime Investigation Division and the Colombo Crimes Division have launched an investigation into the case.
